Love Letter Returned

I received your letter, my distant dear,
It made me wish that you were near.
Your words captured my heart and mind.
I'll be honest; I cried myself blind.
Your words, elegant and full love so tender.
I wish I knew your name, oh loving sender.
How I wish we could meet, and hold each other tight.
How I wish that I could be with you, at least for tonight.
Though I know not who or where you are,
No matter where you live, my heart's not far.
I will do whatever I must to be with you,
Even if it means starting a life anew.
